Among the optical chemical sensor products which have been developed include the chemical sensor to determine analyte such as capsaicim (hotness), phenol, formaldehyde (seafood preservative), hydroquinone (skin whitener), Al(III) ion, acrylamide (carcinogen sourced from fried food), ammonium ion, rodhamine (shrimp paste colouring) and glutamate (food flavouring).
